SAGAING DIVISION- According to the Infinity Group, helping war refugees, blankets and warm clothes were donated to 400 permanent war refugees in Kantbalu and Kyunhla townships.
It is said that 400 war refugees from 9 villages, who had been fleeing the war for more than a year (as their villages were burnt down in the Junta’s arson attack), were donated a blanket to each household and a warm cloth to each member in the house.
“The place where we went to donate is Kyunhla and the Kantbalu area where displaced persons are staying. Those families who did not accept the Pyu Militias and fled the village were also there. The donations are not enough for those fleeing the war,” said an official from the Infinity Group.
It is said that Infinity Group and Supporters For 5/ could raise money for such donations of warm clothes and blankets through raffle ticket sales.
Food and medicine in the displaced areas are more expensive than in urban areas, and it is difficult to buy them. There are more than 20,000 permanently displaced people in Kantbalu and Kyunhla townships, most of whom are homeless as their villages were torched by military council troops.
