YANGON DIVISION – Locals reported that junta soldiers abducted two young ladies carrying roses in hand near KBZ bank in front of Junction Square mall at Kamayut Township in two DC vehicles. After that one more lady with roses was abducted again near Junction Square.
Military council troops were patrolling crowded areas from 9 a.m. on June 19 and had been capturing young people carrying flowers, and checking cellphones and bags, local residents said.
“Today (June 19) is People’s Leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s 78th birthday, so these junta thugs started patrolling since morning. They took two ladies first and brought them in their car. Later, they abducted another one who was carrying flowers when they saw her during driving around the center. It was after 10 o’clock. Fascist soldiers were patrolling in two military vehicles,” said an eyewitness.
Junta soldiers in two military vehicles also inspected the pedestrians at about 9:30 a.m. in many areas such as No. (3) Ward, Hledan Road, the corner of Hledan market Road, and Insein main Road, corner of U Tun Lin Chan Road towards Thamine etc.,
The revolutionary forces have encouraged people to participate in a nationwide flower strike using any type of flower in a safe way on the 78th birthday of People’s Leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
