KARENNI STATE – Rice, dishes, snacks and drinks were donated to the war displaced children at an IDP camp in western Demoso Township on July 27 morning, said an official of Revolution Supporting Team.
There are more than 200 students and mainly eight teachers have been teaching at a self-managed school at an IDP camp.
“Children are the main source to the success of the state. We need a lot of stationaries and teaching aids for children. If we are facing difficulties like this, it may become more difficult in the long run,” said the Revolution Supporting Team official.
At present, more than 200 children are studying from KG to Grade 6 and reportedly needed supports in providing teaching aids, school books and stationaries.
Having an education for children is difficult due to the fightings in Karenni State. In the first week of July, a school was destroyed by the junta council’s aerial bombardment.
