KARENNI STATE – Not enough public attention was received for the campaign to provide shelter and fill up food shortage for people fleeing the war in Karenni State, stated the organizer, Freelancevolunteermyanmar.
Only three days away from the end of the campaign period, which is set from June 26 to July 7, a little more than 20 percent have so far been received.
One could help fill up the starving people by donating with Kpay, Wave Pay, NUG pay, Pay Now and Cryptocurrencies as well as other payment systems, through Freelancevolunteermyanmar’s Facebook social network page, said the FMV information officer.
There are already more than 200,000 displaced persons from all over Karenni State, especially Demoso, Hpruso, Loikaw, Shartaw, Malsal, Pinlaung, and Pekon where the fights between the military council and the revolutionary joint forces took place.
After the military coup, the junta council has been using five Divisions; Divisions 66, 99, 101, and the Operation Command Headquarters 2 and 7, in addition to local battalions to launch offensives in Karenni State.
As the civil war period is getting longer, there are more struggles and difficulties for the displaced people, but public participation in the campaigns is declining, stated the volunteers helping the IDPs.
