SAGAING DIVISION – The terrorist junta council shelling Latpanchaung Village in Kalay Township is reported to have injured five civilians.
At past 10 p.m. on July 26, the junta artillery battalion base in Kalay City deliberately fired two rounds of heavy artillery into Latpanchaung Village, one of which exploded in the village and injured the villagers.
“Latpanchaung (Village) was hit last night (July 26). One shell landed and exploded near a house fence, injuring the young people from the surrounding homes. Another one landed outside the village. The injured were all in their twenties,” said a local resident.
According to local residents, the terrorist junta council troops frequently shell villages to the north and south of Kalay City without any ongoing battle.
