SAGAING DIVISION – According to residents, soldiers from the junta council murdered two civilians in Doe Pin Village and set the village on fire on Wednesday (June 7).
The junta forces set the village on fire and then shot dead two men, aged 40 and 30, at the monastery.
“The junta troops, upon arriving at Maya Thein Monastery, shot the two men from behind in the head. Afterwards, they dressed the bodies in PDF uniforms. The junta soldiers also buried them 100 meters east of the monastery. We are still investigating the identities of the victims,” said a resident.
The junta soldiers also set Doe Pin Village on fire, burning down many houses belonging to civilians.
