KACHIN STATE – The junta’s inspection gate, one of the junta council’s camps, located in front of the primary school in Kawng Yar Ward, Kamaing Town was said to be attacked with bombs on Friday (June 22) at around 8 a.m.
“The bomb exploded at the gate where junta troops are stationed when the kids were on their way to attend the school. So, they let the students who already arrived stay at school and those who have not yet arrived stay at home. It seems to have been explosives set up there,” a local man elaborated the case.
Another local man shared that the case is still under investigation to find out which team carried out the attack, and there was no harm.
“Nothing serious happened since the explosion occurred at the roadside near the Kawng Yaw school. It happened at the place where the junta troops are sometimes stationed. Both the junta thugs and villagers were not harmed. There were also no gunshots,” a local man added.
Similarly, there was a bomb explosion inside the compound of the junta’s administration office of Kamaing Town on November 24, 2022, resulting in the death of two junta staff.
