MYANMAR – Two novice monks were injured when the terrorist junta council fired heavy weapons into Anphalay Village in Kawkareik Township, Karen State, reported the KNU (Karen National Union) Central.
On November 27 at around 5:30 p.m., junta artillery battalion 312 based in Hlaingwa, Kawkareik Township fired 120 mm artillery unprovoked and four of the shells landed in Anphalay Village Monastery, damaging the hall and the drinking fountain and two novice monks were also injured by shrapnel.
The injured novice monks have been identified as 16 year old Shin Eaindria and 14 year old Shin Htayidda.
Similarly in Muu (Mone) Township, Nyaunglebin District, Bago Division, three Lot F 57 type rockets were fired into Kyain Village from the terrorist junta council’s Oakphyat Police Station at around 5:10 p.m. on November 27 and two residents of the village, 35 year old Ms. Mae Pa and 46 year old Ms. Nyo San were injured after getting hit by shrapnel, stated KNU Central.
