KAREN STATE – KNU (central) announced on the night of December 27 that organizations from Duplaya District and the Health and Rescue Department provided basic food and health care to the refugees in Kawkareik Township, Duplaya District, Karen National Union (KNU).Karen Youth Organization (K.Y.O), Karen Women’s Organization (K.W.O.), Committee for Internally Displaced Karen Refugees (C.I.D.K.P), Free Burma Ranger (F.B.R), Kawkareik Township Emergency Response and Social Assistance Committee, and Duplaya District Health and Rescue Department led by the leaders of Kawkareik Township, supported basic food items such as rice, oil, salt, sweet powder, chili, onion, and beans to the refugees in Kawkareik Township on December 26 and 27.
In addition, it is said that for the second time, the people who fled the war were examined for their health, and medical treatment was provided.He said that not only the locals in Kawkareik Township but also the locals in every township are facing a lot of suffering due to the coup by the terrorist army and many lives were lost due to aerial bombardment.Currently, more than 30,000 people have fled the war in the entire township of Kawkareik, and are in urgent need of additional food, according to the statement.
