YANGON DIVISION – The terrorist junta council has sent eviction notices to over 200 households in Sharbwar Village Tract of Kawhmu Township, claiming that the houses are built on the land belonging to the Yangon Division Government, according to local reports.
Houses in western Ballonekwin Village, houses between Tagupone Village and Phyanywarchaung Village as well as houses between Tagupone Village and Sharbwar Village were said to be accused of being built and farming on the 1325 acres of land belonging to the Yangon Division Government, and forcibly ordered to move out by the terrorist junta council.
The eviction notice was delivered by junta troops and administration officers on June 26 and they were ordered to be removed by July 26.
“Over 200 households were ordered to be destroyed. It also included brick and mortar houses. Houses that are not destroyed by the deadline will reportedly also have to pay additional fines. Some of the houses just received electricity during the last government (NLD) term. They have nowhere to go if their houses are destroyed,” said a local resident.
