MON STATE – An official from Kyaikhto information team said that the terrorist junta army has destroyed the road between the villages used by the residents of 25 villages in Kyaikhto Township.
On May 24 after 7:00 p.m., the road connecting Hle Lan Ku village and Hsaung Hlaing Gwa village, locally called “Hle Lan Ku U Maung Win Chan Road,” was destroyed by the terrorist junta forces. It is said that to destroy the road, the terrorist junta forces came in a strength of over 60 to set up hidden sentries and destroyed the road using a backhoe at night secretly. Up to date, a total of five roads in Kyaikhto Township have been destroyed.
“The city is being destroyed as if it is divided into two halves. The roads leading to the area controlled by KNLA Brigade 1 Battalion 3 have been destroyed,” said an official from Kyaikhto information team.
Kyaikhto information team also mentioned that the revolutionary forces attacked the members of the terrorist junta council that came to destroy the road at 9:00 p.m., but there is yet to be reports of junta casualties, adding that while the terrorist soldiers were retreating, they fired several rounds of small arms into the surrounding area.
All the roads destroyed in the Kyaikhto area were interconnected roads, according to local residents.
“There are at least 25 villages using the road that was destroyed by the terrorist military council members, and the local people who use the road every day are having a lot of trouble in transporting food and travelling,” continued the official from the Kyaikhto information team.
