MON STATE- The KNU center announced that a civilian was killed due to the junta army firing heavy weapons on the villages of Kyaikhto township.
On May 6, from 4:20 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., it was reported that the 310th Battalion based in Theinzayap fired four rounds of 122mm howitzers and one of them exploded in a rubber farm at entrance of Zeepyaung (1) village, killing 1 civilian.
Mr. Than Aung, a 45-year-old resident of Zeepyaung (1) village, received shrapnel injuries due to a heavy weapon fired by the terrorist army at around 4:52 a.m. while he was scraping rubber in his farm. Although receiving medical treatment, he passed away on May 7, at 8:05 a.m. due to the consequences of the injuries.
KNU Center has released a statement saying, terrorist military camps in the administrative area of Thahtone District opened fire arbitrarily towards the residential area and has been committing several war crimes and crimes against humanity.
