MON STATE – The nefarious junta soldiers reportedly destroyed the village-to-village road at the foot of Kyaiktiyo pagoda in Kyaikhto Township that connected to Kin Mun Chaung and Saung Naing Gyi villages with backhoe, at around 7:00 p.m., on May 19, according to an official of Kyaikhto Information Organization.
“The junta dogs (military soldiers) fired an artillery at around 5:30 p.m., and destroyed the road at around 7:00 p.m. The road was dug about six feet deep, around the size of shovel. The shovel of backhoe is quite big. Now, the villagers are in trouble for their movement ,” said a local.
The terrorist junta forces reportedly launched an artillery to Saung Naing Gyi Village at around 5:30 p.m., on May 19, afterwards they intentionally ruined the village road with backhoe at around 7:00 p.m. The depth of the destroyed road is about six feet, and it was destroyed quickly with a shovel.
“Currently, that village-to-village road in Kyaikhto Township was destroyed, and the roads in Karen State also were ruined. I didn’t get any of the casualty information by the artillery attack,” said the official of Kyaikhto Information Organization.
The locals had suffered the consequences of such destruction, and they were no longer to use their cars and motorbikes for daily commute, causing hardships in their livelihoods. The fascist junta forces had intentionally crushed the roads in many places as they fear the possible attack by the Revolutionary Forces in coming raining season.
