MON STATE – The terrorist junta council torched and destroyed Dammatat Village in Kyaikmaraw Township and instructed its forces to use it as an example of what will become to the villages that accommodate or are entered by revolutionary forces.
The instruction was passed down at the Mon State Security and Administration Coordination meeting (10/2024) held at Aung San Hall, Mon State Government Office at 9:30 a.m. on April 1 and the instruction was seized when the revolutionary forces captured the leader of Pyithusit militia and administration officer of Kyonnye Village, Khawzar Sub Township, Tin Win (aka) A Win and his deputy, Thein Win, on April 23.
The terrorist junta council dropped incendiary bombs into Dammatat Village in Kyaikmaraw Township on March 27 past 2 p.m. and also fired heavy artillery shells into the village, burning down over 300 houses and forcing over 6,000 people to be displaced, as announced by Mon State Federal Council.
