BAGO DIVISION- An official of the Karenni National Liberation Army (KNLA) told the media that the junta army raided Namza village, burned more than 20 homes, stole public property, and arrested 17 people last Thursday (July 20).
At around 6:23 a.m., on July 20, about 150 strong terrorist Junta troops raided Namza village burned down more than 20 houses, and stole 38 lakhs of public money. Eleven mobile phones were reportedly confiscated and seventeen people were arrested.
“17 people were reportedly arrested at the police station. Their names are not yet known. There are more than 200 households in Namza village,” said a KNLA official.
According to KNLA, 4572 people have been fleeing from 37 villages in Kyaukdata Township due to junta’s frequent heavy artillery shellings.
