MAGWAY DIVISION – The heavy artillery fired by the junta council column in Kyaukhtu Sub Township, Saw Township, Gangaw District killed three civilians from Ngalun Village, reported the local residents.
On March 9, around 60 junta soldiers from division 11 that have arrived at Thayetchin Village after departing from the military base in Kyaukhtu fired heavy artillery shells into the villages, killing Mr. San Win (50), a 48 year old person of the same name and Ms. Thae Thae Mar (24) from Ngalun Village.
“The junta column fired 81 mm shells. The shells landed on the road and killed the people inside the two opposite houses. The two men who died had the same name, both were called Mr. San Win,” explained a resident of Kyaukhtu.
In addition, it is also known from the residents that a junta jet dropped five bombs in Taungyoe area of Kyaukhtu on March 9 as well.
The heavy artillery shelling by junta column on March 7 had similarly killed a six year old child and a 30 year old woman from Kyantaw Village in Kyaukhtu Sub Township.
