SHAN STATE (NORTH) – The number of displaced people fleeing the war from the villages in Kyaukme Township towards Nawngping Village has increased up to 600 people, the aid and rescue groups said.
More than 130 monks and nearly 200 civilians have fled to the mentioned area as a result of the junta army’s airstrikes since Monday towards the Hkelong Village near the famous Goktwin region.
“There are still many people on the road fleeing the war” said a person involved in aid and rescue.
The monks who fled from Hkelong Monastery have been reportedly accommodated at the monasteries of Nawngping.
In Kyaukme region, the Three Brotherhood Alliance, consisting MNDAA, TNLA, and AA, has been fighting against the fascist junta army since the end of October.
