TANINTHARYI DIVISION – The People’s Defence Forces (PDF) launched attacks on the junta camps at Paetai Village, Yamone Village and at the mouth of Yamone River in Kyunsu Township and killed four junta forces including a Pyu Saw Htee leader, said an official from Myeik District PDF joint Column 2.
Myeik District PDF joint Column 2 attacked those junta camps on March 27 to commemorate the fascist revolution day, resulting in four battles.
Among those battles, the battle at Yamone Village lasted for 45 minutes. A Pyu Saw Htee leader was killed on the spot during the battle while three other injured junta forces died on the way while being sent to Kyunsu Hospital by boat.
“There were around 70 (junta forces) stationed. We launched an offensive on their bases. The Pyu leader died on the spot. Three injured were being sent by boat to Kyunsu Hospital and they died en route,” said the official from Myeik District PDF joint Column 2.
The attack was conducted by Myeik District PDF Column 2: Tanintharyi People’s Defence Organisation (PDO), Myeik District Battalion 2 Company 2, Kyunsu PDO, Palaw PDO, Tanintharyi Defence Guerrilla Force, Tanintharyi Yoma Team, Tawponegyi Team, Taungpanni (Red Wings) Team, Tanintharyi Division PDO Security Force and Dragon Squad Drone Force. The PDF soldiers are said to be unharmed.
