MYANMAR – A woman was reported killed by junta heavy weapon fired at Kyainseikgyi Township last Friday, according to Karen National Union (KNU).
At 5:30 a.m. on February 16, the 315th Artillery Battalion of Wakali Military Council Army bombed Kyainseikgyi town with a drone, killing the fifty-three-year-old Naw Kawt Kaw from Losha village due to shrapnel injury in the head.
Similarly, 315th Artillery Battalion (Wakali) drone bombarded again on the same day around 7:30 a.m. The drone bomb exploded in the rubber farm of Ms. Naw Sabae who received serious shrapnel in the suprapubic area. As a result of the bomb blast, approximately 50 betel nut trees and approximately 50 rubber trees were also damaged.
In addition, on February 20, two young men were reportedly injured in the leg when the army opened fire on the Thaung Pu village, Yay O Sin Village tract, Oaktwin Township, Bago Division.
“Last night at around 7:30 p.m., 2 youths from Than Pu Village in Oaktwin Township were hit and injured when the junta troops opened fire,” a resident explained.
