SHAN STATE – The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) Information Department announced on Saturday (June 17) that the Commander-in-Chief of TNLA met with local people and explained the military and political situation at the villages in Kutkai Township, Northern Shan State.
PSLF/TNLA Commander-in-Chief Brigadier General Tar Hod Plarng is said to have met with residents of Kutkai, TNLA Brigade 5 territory, on June 16.
“Yesterday (June 16), the Commander-in-Chief Brigadier General visited the villages in Kutkai Township. Those villages are not far from the town, just located along the road. The main goal is to meet with the public and campaigning matters,” said an officer from the TNLA Information Department.
The Commander-in-Chief, Brigadier General, has reportedly already held public meetings in five villages within the township.
TNLA reported that the meeting ceremony was held in Panlaw Village, Kutkai Township, and PSLF/TNLA Commander-in-Chief Brigadier General Tar Hod Plarng and his team, Brigade 5 commander and team, the administrative body of Salween District, and the local people of Kutkai Township attended. A total of nearly 600 people were in attendance.
During the meeting, Commander-in-Chief Brigadier General Tar Hod Plarng explained the political situation and clarified the current PSLF/TNLA operation plan and political situations.
In addition, the commander-in-chief, Brigadier General, encouraged that the Ta’ang ethnic people should be united and avoid conflict.
It is also mentioned that the commander-in-chief encouraged the public to keep their spirits up and not be depressed amidst the current political crisis.
