SAGAING DIVISION – An official from Khin U Township True News Team reported that the junta council shelling the villages in Khin U Township resulted in the death of two civilians.
At around 8:15 a.m. on Thursday (July 20), the terrorist junta troops stationed at the Traditional Medicine Hospital in Ye U fired four rounds of heavy artillery that landed and exploded in Mutha Village of Khin U Township, hitting a 27-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man who passed away before they were treated.
In addition, the terrorist troops stationed at the Innpatkwae Market in Khin U Township and the junta-backed Pyu Saw Htee militia at Ywarthitgone Village launched an offensive near Ywarthit Village in the rain under gunfire, forcing over 5,000 residents of six villages to flee their homes.
The currently fleeing 5,000 people reportedly include children, pregnant women and elders from Ywarthit, Mutha, Thetpay, Chanthagone, Nyaungpinchan and Salgyi Villages.
