SAGAING DIVISION – Locals reported that the arsonist junta soldiers intentionally torched Ywar Thit Village in Khin-U Township, forcing more than 3,000 residents of five villages to leave their homes.
On June 1, at around 5:30 a.m., a junta column with around 100 of brutal junta forces stationed at Inn Pat Kway and Ye-U Traditional Medical Hospital and pro-junta Pyu Saw Htee militants of Ywar Thit Kone Village, raided and burned Ywat Thit Village, located along Ye-U – Nyaung Pin Thar Road, and also they indiscriminately fired to the residents with light and heavy weapons.
At present, more than 3,000 of locals of Ywar Thit, Chan Thar Kone, Nyaung Pin Chan, Se Gyi and Mu Thar villages had been forced to flee from their homes.
“The military dogs (junta soldiers) were firing heavy weapons to Mu Thar Village from Ywar Thit Village. It was not yet known whether the people have been harmed or not,” said a resident.
