CZECH REPUBLIC – On June 8th in Prague, there was a festival of embassies, and the Burmese embassy of the Junta Council opened a gallery at the festival, but they had to close the gallery and flee due to protests.
On June 8th, Embassies from all over the world participated in the festival of embassies held in Prague, Czech Republic. They opened exhibitions about the country and introduced culture of them. The Embassy of the Junta Council also opened an exhibition about Myanmar. However, it is learned that Igor Blazevic, an activist from the Czech Republic who is enthusiastic about Myanmar issue, and other activists held a protest in front of the Burmese embassy gallery holding posters explaining the war crimes and mass killings of the people by the Terrorist Myanmar army.
Activists protested for 6 hours under the sun in front of the Myanmar Embassy gallery under the Junta Council. Because the police allowed the protesters to continue their protest, the Junta Council’s Embassy finally closed the gallery and fled. It was reported that there were only few visitors to the gallery of the Burmese Embassy under the Junta Council.
