MYANMAR – Local sources reported that the terrorist junta council has been conducting frequent heavy artillery and air strikes in Mindat Township and Saw Township at the border of Chin State and Magway Division in recent days.
The junta council is reportedly preparing to send supply convoys into Mindat Township while making military movements and frequently launching air and artillery strikes.
“They are preparing for the convoy. There has been no contact with the junta vanguards yet. They have been attacking from the air and firing heavy artillery everyday,” said a local source.
On Sunday (March 10) around 3:40 p.m., Mindat based infantry 274 fired heavy artillery towards the civilian villages in Prefecture 2 of Mindat Township and two junta jets carried out four air strikes in Kyaukhtu of Saw Township in the same afternoon, reported a resident of Mindat.
On March 9 as well, the junta air force bombed Kyaukhtu and the heavy artillery fire by the junta forces at Thayetchin Village in Kyaukhtu township killed three civilians working in Ngalun Village and injured one while several houses were also destroyed, added the resident.
The junta council also carried out air attacks in Mindat Township in recent days, resulting in civilian casualties.
