KACHIN STATE – An internal source reported that nine soldiers from junta Infantry Battalion (IB) 13, including the battalion commander, who were at the front lines in Kachin State, were arrested at the for disobeying orders, saying they will not go to battle.
Infantry Battalion 13 of the terrorist junta army is based in Chauk City, Magway Division, and the nine soldiers arrested for insubordination were deployed to the front lines in Kachin State. It is reported that the death toll from the terrorist army in the battlefields in Kachin State is too high, and as the soldiers were forced to launch attacks into the minefields, they would refuse to go to battle, choosing imprisonment instead.
“The battalion commander and eight soldiers of Infantry Battalion 13 in the front line were arrested for disobeying orders because they stopped fighting. The battalion commander is newly appointed. They were forced to fight in the gold mining area covered by land mines, and chose to get into prison instead of death. They are in custody separately, and their families will be deported from the battalion base,” the source added.
Due to the high number of deaths of soldiers in the battles within the terrorist military council army, the number of deserters has increased, as well as insubordination and refusal to fight in defiance of orders. It is known that there have also been cases of the whole regiment surrendering.
