MON STATE – The military junta has arrested a school teacher who is also the founder of Adipadi private high school in Chaung Sone Township, Mon State.
According to local witnesses, a large number of military junta police forces apprehended Mr. Chit Ko Ko, the founder of Adipadi private high school, at his residence on February 8. He was arrested for allegedly encouraging junta staff to participate in the Civil Disobedience Movement.
Local residents reported that Mr. Chit Ko Ko is currently detained at the Chaung Sone Township police station, and his case is being processed under Penal Code 505(A). They claim that Mr. Chit Ko Ko was unjustly accused and arrested by junta police and township administration authorities based on complaints from junta supporters and lobbyists.
Furthermore, a youth from Maw La Myaing was also accused of attending PDF training and was arrested by junta police on February 4.
