MON STATE- According to residents, the revolutionary forces attacked the junta police stations and security gates at bridge in Chaung Hnitkhwa village, on the Kyaikmaraw- Kyainseikgyi highway road.
On November 10 morning, the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and joint forces attacked the Chaung Hnitkhwa bridge gate and police station in Kyaikmaraw Township, bordering Mon and Karen States.
The clashes are intense and the military council is continuously conducting air strikes.
“Since around 4 a.m., the firefight started and at around 9 a.m., a military Jet and a helicopter launched an aerial attack outside the village. Auto-guns are fired from a helicopter. They are shooting several rounds and the villagers dare not to come out but hide inside their houses,” said a resident of Chaung Hnitkhwa.
The causalities and injuries reports on both sides are currently unknown, and the residents are informed not to use the Mudon- Kyaikmaraw (Chaung Hnitkhwa )- Kyainseikgyi Road.
