MAGWAY DIVISION – The junta column, which came out to clear the mines, was attacked on Saturday (May 27) at 8:30 a.m., killing five troops, including one officer, said an official of the Chaung-U Revolution Army (CRA).
They were detonated by three improvised mines prepared by CRA’s Battalion-3, Major Naing Lay Pway Storm PDF. During the attack, five junta soldiers, including an officer, were killed. Six others were wounded, with one sergeant losing two eyes and one hand. Two others lost their legs and are in critical condition, receiving medical treatment at the Chaung-U Hospital.
“We want effective support from NUG’s MOD (Ministry of Defence). We are also prepared in terms of quality and quantity. Please support us because we are brave enough to fight. Our operation received only one-fifth of the support from MOD, and we need to wait four months to resume the heavy battle. We prepared for the battle ourselves and urge the leaders to support us effectively,” said an official of CRA.
In addition, in Magway Division, the Alphard car carrying the junta soldiers from Pakokku Town was attacked, killing one junta soldier, according to an official from the Myaing Public Administration Body – PAB.
On Saturday (May 27), the junta soldiers who cashed out from Pakokku and returned were attacked by Myaing PAB Battalion-1 and Company-2.
During the attack, two junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee were hit by bullets. That car fled, and clashes also occurred again near PDF hideout posts, resulting in another troop and three Pyu Saw Htees falling down. When that car arrived in Kanma, they left one dead body and four wounded junta members.
