MYANMAR – The 20,000 MMK banknotes recently issued by the junta council caused ripples in the exchange rate and also affected the 200 million MMK fundraising project (Arlawaka Challenge) by Myingyan District PDF Battalion 7 Zero Guerrilla Force, said leader Bo.Thet Gyi.
Although initial estimates to purchase the necessary weapons and ammunition for missions were set at 200 million MMK, the rise in prices means that they wouldn’t be able to purchase as much as intended.
Zero Guerrilla Force is holding the fundraiser for 45 days, from July 14 to August 27.
The campaign, titled Arlawaka Challenge, aims to carry out intense military operations against the junta council and seize their bases anywhere in Anyar Region (Central Myanmar), informed Bo. Thet Gyi.
The project that will end on August 27 has raised over 65% of the target so far, and the guerrilla force has requested the people’s support in order to achieve the target.
