MYANMAR -There are more than 450 good citizens, including those with the rank of major, who are serving in PDF Military Headquarters, regiments, and columns. The Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government announced that a ceremony was held to honor the good people serving in the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) on the day to mark the 2nd anniversary of the People’s Resistance and Revolutionary War.
Today (September 8th), to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the Defense Forces, a ceremony was held to honor the good people who are serving in the PDF, Union Minister U Yee Mon, Union Deputy Minister Nai Kaung Ywat, the permanent secretary, the deputy permanent secretary, military officials, and good citizens attended.
More than 450 good citizens who took refuge in the arms of the people are now accepted as soldiers of the People’s Defense Forces (PDF), serving in the military headquarters and battalion units. The Ministry of Defense announced that they are serving in columns according to the relevant sectors. It is said that more than 450 of them are major-level officers.
In today’s ceremony, it is saluted the PDF flag and the Spring Revolution flag, all fallen heroes who died in revolutions of all ages, including the monks, parents, students, and heroes. The Ministry of Defense Union Minister and the Deputy Minister gave a congratulatory speech.
The Ministry of Defense announced that “on behalf of the good people serving in the People’s Defense Forces (PDF), the former (major) and current battalion commander, Comrade San Lin (Special Commando Battalion), gave a speech of thanks and encouragement.”
In addition, it has been reported that revolutionary artists performed songs in their honor.
