MYANMAR – The Myanmar Fire Brigade (Central) source said that since the Terrorist War Council has forced non-CDM personnel to serve in the military, they will immediately recruit fire brigade personnel as a priority.
“We know that they will give priority to fire service personnel and immediately call them up for military service. Now they are being forced to fill out the lists. It’s all from the division, district, and township-level fire departments, to the town/village. The lists have already been collected,” the fire service department source explained.
Currently, the junta council will form the township and district/village conscription teams on February 15th and will begin publishing the list of names to be conscripted for military service in the coming days. Those who get the list of names will have to start an official report in the process of enlistment after the Thingyan holidays at the end of April.
A source from the Yangon Regional Junta Council said that the Military Council has issued an emergency directive to collect the list of non-CDM personnel who are eligible for military service in the entire country, including the Yangon Region, within 3 days.
The Junta Council is demanding a list of non-CDM employees who are eligible for military service nationwide, so the list of non-CDM employees in Yangon Region will be released on February 19th. At 9 a.m., the number of employees and detailed list were received on February 21st and it was instructed to prepare and send the list before 10:00 am.
It is understood that the Junta Council has urgently been instructed to compile a detailed list of non-CDM personnel who will serve in the military in the years 2025, 2026, and 2027.
