KAREN STATE – The KNU Headquarter announced that a junta soldier with captain rank in terrorist council army came to surrender at the Brigade 6 of Karen National Union (KNU) along with weapons and ammunition.
Captain Kyaw Myint Lwin (35) of junta’s Battalion 106 under the Operation command headquarter 19 based in Mawtkanin contacted KNU Brigade 6 and came into legal fold on June 7.
Captain Kyaw Myint Lwin brought along one MA-3 gun, three magazines, 130 bullets, One MA-5 gun, one magazine with 11 bullets and 4 Enaga bombs. KNU also said that KNU provided support to Captain Kyaw Myint Lwin with 7 million kyats from KNLA Bridge 6.
The fascist army’s structure has been broken as there has been fightings everywhere in the controlled area of KNU Bridge 6, and revolutionary allied forces have been attacking and capturing junta council’s military camps. Junta army is losing not only manpower and ammunition strength, but also declining the morale, thus more and more junta soldiers reportedly surrendered to KNU.
