MYANMAR- Acting President of the National Unity Government, Duwa La Shi La, has urged the armed forces under the Military Council not to resist the allies and the People’s Defense Forces but to raise white flags and surrender earlier.
On November 11, at 6:00 p.m., the Acting President made a public speech on the current situation in the country.
He stated, “It’s time the terrorist war council is facing a crisis. Therefore, officers, in charge and privates who want to reform the Myanmar Army should think seriously and make wise decision based on reality. Do not fight against People’s Defense Forces and the allies. Raise the white flag and return (to the legal fold) to people’s embrace. Surrendering to the PDFs is not a loss but what should be done to stand up to the truth and for the people,” said the Acting President.
The acting president also urges businessmen and non-CDM staff who are still supporting the military council to realize the situation and change their stance on time.
“I urge everyone to rethink whether staying on board of the sinking boat and lose both dignity and lives,” stated the acting president.
The terrorist leader Min Aung Hlaing and the military group are trying to lure the ethnic people to maintain their power. They lured them to join the militia. Therefore, members of the militia, who are the lackeys of the military group, are also urged to defect and stand for the people, stated the acting president.
As the closing remark, the acting president stated that the terrorist military council often conducts airstrikes and heavy weapons attacks on civilians (residential areas) whenever they experience casualties in ground battles and thus public should take more caution.
“The fascist army often commits brutal acts against the people whenever they are facing huge loss. Special attention must be paid to this and I urge everyone to be on security alert,” he said.
