SHAN STATE – It has been reported that the bodies of two young men, Ko Tujar (25 years old) and Ko Bran Aung (27 years old), from the Kachin Baptist Church in Tima village, Muse Township, Northern Shan State, were buried on August 3rd. These two individuals were captured and killed by the Junta Council’s Army.
According to local residents, the young men were arrested on July 25th around 2:30 p.m. by the Junta Council while they were returning from Nam On Village in Muse Township to Tima Village in a church’s car. After their arrest, the junta’s army dressed them in TNLA military uniforms and buried them underground. The bodies were discovered by locals on July 31st.
On July 25th, there was intense fighting between the TNLA and the Military Council Army near the gas station above Nam On Village. During this clash, the Military Council Army attacked with heavy weapons and aerial bombardment, resulting in the deaths of 2 civilians from Nam On Village and injuries to 1 individual.
