RAKHINE STATE – Two Rakhine civilians from Pauktaw Township were reportedly injured due to the junta council army’s shelling of heavy artilleries, and dropping bombs using drones on Thursday morning (January 11).
The wounded people were Mr. San Shwe Mya (63) and Mr.Maung San Nu (62) from Thawin Chaung Village of Pauktaw Township.
The fascist council’s police battalion (12) based in Sittwe fired heavy weapons towards civilians’ village after 9 a.m. on January 11.
One of the heavy artilleries was said to have fell and exploded on the road, beside Mr. San Shwe Mya and daughter Ms. Wai Wai Oo’s house. Mr. San Shwe Mya’s right arm was seriously wounded.
At the same time, the military council army dropped a drone bomb on the Thawin Chaung Village, and the bomb dropped and exploded in front of Mr.Maung San Nu’s house and injured his right hand.
At present, the military council’s police battalion (12) based in Sittwe has been shelling heavy weapons continuously towards the villages including Thawin Chaung. In addition, the fascist council’s navy troops have also targeted civilians and fired heavy artilleries which forced local residents to flee for safety.
