BAGO DIVISION – One civilian died and one got injuries by hitting the heavy artillery shell that was released from the junta council in Zayat Khin Old Village, Zayat Khin Village Tract, Kyauktaga Township, Bago Division according to the information from one of the comrades of People Defence Force (PDF).
On Tuesday (August 22) at around 11 a.m., the junta forces, stationing at the dam’s valve near Zayat Khin Village, released heavy artillery toward the villages, and the shell reportedly landed and exploded near the field, at the part of the old village.
“They (junta forces) have fired like this without any battles. We got to know three artillery shells were released and one of them landed on the field harmed one farmer and one fisherman,” one of the comrades from Local Defence Force (LDF) said.
Due to the heavy artillery firing by the junta council, Mr. Tin Htwe (64) was said to suffer injuries to his hands, legs and stomach and pass away while being sent to Penwegon Hospital.
Moreover, Mr. Min, who was fishing, also got serious injuries to head, hands and legs and was reportedly hospitalized.
Similarly, on August 14, two civilians were harmed by the junta council’s heavy artillery releasing from the Kyauktaga toward Hpyan Tha Lin Village.
