KARENNI STATE- The Tech Supporting Squad-T2S2 member Mr. Pauk said that the military junta’s unexploded aerial bombs found in Kayah (aka Karenni)State, were recycled at the risk of their lives to manufacture mini-drone bombs for more than a year.
“It is risky as bombshells are made of iron and alloy. We risk our lives for accidental blasts while digging them out. On the other hand, raw materials for explosives are rare. That’s why we have to extract them from the old bombshells. Our lives are on the edge for the revolution,” he said.
A 500-pound bomb can regenerate up to 500 drone bombs which are still used in ground combat today, he continued.
Since May 2022, they have reportedly dug up seven unexploded bombs and reused them in the ground battles in Karenni and Southern Shan State as drone bombs until today.
The T2S2 team is in technical cooperation with the KNDF UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle-drone) force, and also providing technical support to other resistance forces.
The T2S2 team is developing drones, formulating explosive/gunpowder, and producing small armored vehicles (mini-tanks) to resist the junta council, so they are urging the public to provide supports to them.
