KARENNI STATE – Karenni Human Rights Group – KnHRG reported on Saturday (January 6) that at least seven civilians were killed in December due to the military firing of heavy weapons.
The deceased were two women, four men, and an unidentifiable body, stated KnHRG.
According to KnHRG, two minors were also included in the seven people killed by the military council’s heavy weapons fire.
In addition, the statement stated that 8 people, two women and six men were injured in the military council’s heavy weapons fire.
Two men and a woman were reportedly injured due to the bombing by the military council forces. Two civilians were injured stepping on a land mine planted by the military council, as stated by KnHRG.
These statements are only the documentation collected by the Karenni Human Rights Group-KnHRG, there may be many deaths and damage to houses that have not been recorded yet.
