YANGON DIVISION – A local said that two bomb explosions occurred at around 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on August 11 in the Shwe Insein Artificial grass Futsal Stadium on Min Kun Kyaung Road, Taung Thu Gone Ward, Insein Township.
On August 3, the opening of the futsal field and the football tournament were held at the same time, attended by the Chairman of the Insein District Military Council as well as junta lieutenant colonel and
police lieutenant colonel.
“There was a half-hour difference between the bombs. There was no one playing in the football field and no one was injured. The goalposts were damaged. Even now, I saw the neighborhood Dalan (junta informers) and junta forces in civilian clothes watching until the evening,” said a resident of the neighborhood.
Locals said that the futsal field that was bombed is related to military council but it has not yet been able to be independently confirmed.
A resident said that after the explosion, a large number of military council forces conducted a blockade inspection.
It is not yet known which organization carried out the attack.
