BAGO DIVISION – A local defense comrade said that the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) joint forces detonated a mine on a bridge that was being used by the military council forces near Thit Phyu Seik village, Phyu Township.
On August 4th, at around 2 a.m., the bridge leading from Thit Phyu Seik village to Taw Kywe Inn was detonated.
“The bridge is always used by the junta army for supply purposes, and the terrorist army groups are attacking the KNLA near that bridge, so we know that the operation was carried out as a military target,” confirmed a local defense soldier.
After destroyed by mine, the 160 feet long and 12 feet wide bridge was broken from the middle, and cars or motorcycles are no longer able to cross. If the local residents want to go to Taw Kywe Inn village, they will have to use other village to village connection roads leading to Ka Nyaut Kwin and they have to go through Ka Nyaut Kwin.
