RAKHINE STATE- when the military council fired a heavy weapon on January 7, at 4:30 p.m., a child from Mrauk-U Township was reportedly injured seriously.
The injured Muslim child is Banda Ali (14 years old), the son of (Mr) Maung Phyu and (Mrs) Man Nija Rose from Purim village, Mrauk-U.
At around 4:30 p.m., the Infantry Battalion (377) of the Military Council based in Mrauk-U opened fire twice with heavy weapons. The local said that one of these shells exploded outside Purim village.
It was reported that Banda Ali, who was tending cattle outside the village, was near the explosion and received a serious shrapnel injury on the right side of his neck.
The injured child was reportedly taken to the Panmyaung Hospital for emergency treatment
After the battle between the Arakan Army (AA) and the Military Council Army, the Military troops deliberately opened fire on the towns and cities inhabited by civilians with heavy weapons from battalions and battleships and also dropped bombs using drones helicopters, and military jets almost every day.
