SHAN STATE – Brigadier General Min Min Tun, commander of the 101st Division, who was arrested during the fighting in Namsan Township in the northern region of Shan State, has called on the current junta leaders to stop what they are doing now.
On January 10th, the Taang/Palang Liberation Army TNLA, released an interview with the captured Brigadier General.
Min Min Tun arrived the operation area of Namsan City, where he was assigned as a division commander since September 2022. He said he was arrested by TNLA forces in the early morning of December 16 after being attacked in public hospitals of Mokke Hill Camp in Namsan.
He apologized to the ethnic people who died while fighting for liberation in order to protect their region and their people and to all the innocent ethnic people who died in various ways during the Spring Revolution and to the people of the whole country.
The members of junta council who are currently serving in the junta council’s army should act to end the civil war as soon as possible and to look forward to the people. He also urged soldiers to take refuge in the bosom of the people and join the people.
The 101st Division is based in Pakukku, and during the battles in the northern Shan region. To date, at least 5 Commanders of Regional Command, Division and Military Operations Command were surrendered to the Northern Allies.
