BAGO DIVISION – The Supreme Headquarter of Karen National Union (KNU) has reported on August 25 that the atrocious junta launched aerial bombardments with its fighter jets over Thea Taw Mu Thea Taw Khwa Village in Kyaukkyi Township, controlled area of KNU’s Brigade-3, killing a civilian and injuring a combatant of KNLA allied force.
It was said that the junta’s fighter jets bombarded with six bombs at around 1:30 p.m., on August 24.
“Four fighter jets bombarded twice, at around 1:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. There was no fight there. They carried out unprovoked aerial bombings,” said a member of the defense close to the KNU.
It was reported that Mr. Saw Ba Bel Hse Phoe in his 28, was injured and killed on the spot by the shrapnel of bombs, and comrade Myitta, 23s, of KNLA allied forces, was injured in his thigh.
The junta’s fighter jets of Nay Pyi Taw and Taungoo air bases reportedly carried out those airstrike attacks.
On the evening of August 15, there was a fight between the allied forces of Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the terrorist junta forces near Nan Za Village of Kyauktaga Township, and the junta sent its fighter jets for aerial bombardments, but no one was harmed.
