MANDALAY DIVISION: The use of Thabeik Kyin- Bamaw road, Thabeik Kyin township, Mandalay division was said to be prohibited from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting May 26 and the road was allowed to use only during day time, as announced by Thabeik Kyin People Defence Force.
As the road was used by the junta column with about 100 soldiers, traveling by civilians’ cars, not to be misled with civilians’ cars while the military missions are being performed, the road use is prohibited like this, as said by the responsible person of Thabeik Kyin People Defence Force.
“The local people were known not to follow the prohibition. As they do not follow the prohibition, we are reluctant to perform the military missions in the region. We lost everything including missions, time and money as we do not want the civilians’ casualties,” as he continued.
As the civilians failed to follow the prohibition about the use of roads, the announcement about Mandalay-Thabeik Kyin- Bamaw road use was the last warning announcement.
