BAGO DIVISION- The People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) from the frontline battlefield along the Sittaung River, the eastern part of Bago township, met the Union Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration (MOHAI) for the National Unity Government (NUG) in the last week of December, according to the Deputy District Commander, No. 2 Military Region Subdivision.
Minister (Mr.) Lwin Ko Latt and his team went to the frontline battlefield camps and met with the PDF platoon commanders from the respective regions. It is reported that he also met people’s administration forces and provided guidance.
“All NUG officials are working full-time for the revolution in their respective places. Only with the support of the people have we achieved these successes,” said Deputy Military Regional Commander Tin Oo from No. 2 Military Region Subdivision.
PDFs appealed to NUG for the supply the food, weapons, and ammunition as soon as possible and negotiated with the Minister of Interior to meet the needs.
Last November, after the PDF announced that they would step up their military operations in the eastern part of Bago Division, in the Sittaung Riverbank area, there have been continuous battles capturing towns and junta camps, and the area is currently able to be controlled by the KNLA and PDF columns.
