KARENNI STATE – The medical team, Waid Zar, which provides medical care to the frontline in Karenni, is reportedly in need of aid to build a safe and secure residence, according to the group.
The medical team addressed that owing to the military council targeting and attacking the hospitals and medical teams from the air, almost all medical teams are transient, often moving from place to place.
Further added by a spokesperson that “as Waid Zar Team, providing medical support in Karenni Land, we are unable to continue to live in the current medical treatment facilities due to safety and security and are in need of donations to build a safe shelter to prolong active activities”.
The construction of a new place for medical treatment is estimated to cost at minimum 50 lakhs in Myanmar Kyats (~US$ 2,400). Those keen, supportive and generous donors can reach Waid Zar Group via their Facebook Page and are able to donate through KBZ Pay and NUG Pay respectively.
As the group has been continuously providing health care to the public and defence forces members on daily basis, the spokesperson urges the public to contribute and donate to the fullest extent.
Even today, the medical team is present at the front line, carrying out rescue operations. In the rear as well, the team has opened clinics, provided medical treatment to both wounded soldiers and civilians respectively and has also traveled around different areas to give necessary health care.
