TANINTHARYI DIVISION – In order to avoid the conscription law enacted by the Terrorist War Council, some military officers from the Kawthaung-based LIB 262 based in Kawthaung, Tanintharyi Division have sent their teenage children to Thailand, according to a military source.
Although the passport applications of children and wives of military personnel and veterans are restricted by the Junta Council, some military officers from the LIB 262 based in Kawthaung are working to obtain official documents for their children in their own way, and are sending their teenage children from Kawthaung to the Thai side.
“In Kawthaung LIB 262, the children of the officers have been sent to Thailand. I don’t know how they manage to get the documents. They sent them to the other side (Thailand) officially. The children of the subordinate soldiers were collected lists to serve in the army. They are not satisfied with it in the army,” said a military source.
In addition, regarding the registration of children of soldiers who are eligible for military service, there is conflict between the enumerators and military families with teenage children within the Kawthaung 7 Mile Army.
It is known that the terrorist junta council is enlisting the military personnel’s children in addition to non-CDM personnel to serve in the military according to the military service law.
