CHIN STATE – The CDF has warned the public against using the Mindat – Kyaukhtu Road Section starting from Tuesday (August 22), according to sources.
Clashes occurred last night (August 21) in Mindat Downtown, and the junta column from Kyaukhtu Town in Saw Township remains active this morning.
“A column is active in Htilin, Gangaw, and Saw. They are covering an area of about three miles and reporting to their authority. They might also be lying. They looted clothes and blankets and then slept,” said a resident from Saw.
From yesterday (August 21) evening until this morning, both sides exchanged fire in Mindat Downtown, but details couldn’t be confirmed due to the mobile networks being cut off, said the resident.
The junta column from Kyaukhtu Force has also arrived near Yint Ye Village in Saw Township, and some of them have headed to Yaw Myo Village, passing through the creek.
Around 15 junta troops are stationed at Chaung Pyae near Chaung Kuu Village, while approximately 15 others are positioned between Myo Pauk and Yint Ye Village. Additionally, about 20 troops are located in Myo Pauk Village, according to a local source.
The junta council soldiers didn’t carry their baskets, and nearby civilians are asked to be aware of this.
