NORTHERN SHAN STATE – Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA ) announced on Thursday evening (December 14) that the junta aerial bombed a monastery where more than 200 refugees were sheltering in Namkham Town.
The terrorist army attacked Zeya Thukha Monastery in Pauktike Quarter, Namkham, at around 4:50 p.m. on December 13. A jet plane reportedly came and launched an aerial bomb attack.
It is said that 262 war refugees from Nam Kham Township, fleeing the war, have been staying at the Monastery.
Due to the junta’s aerial attack, a monk received a shrapnel injury, and several rooms of the monastery were reportedly damaged.
Similarly, on the same day, the terrorist military council forces bombed the areas near upper Tongkhan and Namkon Villages in Muse Township with two jet fighters and also dropped six aerial bombs near Kaungyar Village using Y12 aircraft.
