MAGWAY DIVISION – A 2-year-old child was reportedly killed by junta’s mortar shell in Pauk Au Village of Yesagyo Township, at around 2:00 p.m., on July 1, according to local news sources.
The murderous junta column with around 50 forces launched six 60mm mortar shells over Pauk Au Village from Pattar port in Yay Lal Kyun area of Yesagyo Township. The mortar shells landed and exploded in Pauk Au Village and a girl named Hnin Shwe Yee Lin was hit and killed by the shrapnel of a mortar shell.
“The atrocious junta column leaving Myingyan arrived at Pattar port and launched artillery attacks. Pattar port and Pauk Au Village are located side by side separated by a river. The child was hit and killed by the shrapnel of a mortar shell, while she was playing at her home. At present, junta dogs (military soldiers) were planning to cross the Yay Lel Kyun area through Pattar port,” said the official of Yay Lal Kyun News.
Due to the junta’s artillery attacks, the residents of Pauk Au Village no longer dare to stay in the village and evacuated to nearby villages and the funeral of the deceased child has not yet been held.
On June 29, the terrorist junta soldiers and pro-junta Pyu Saw Htee thugs stationed at Min Village fired mortar shells as well as energa-equipped drones, killing the resident of Nga Ta Yaw Village, Ms. San Htay in her 36s.
